This is a great potato, not a great masher but good for about everything else. Makes the best Belgian fries. Yeild isn\'t the best but decent and potatoes are large, Favor and texture are incomparable. Easy to grow in varied conditions,

I grew these this year for the first time and was not impressed. All of my other potatoes did well. I will give them another try next year because they are rated so high. They were small and odd shaped potatoes. My german butter ball and poniac red grew great and were normal shape and size.

I understand this is a very popular variety in Europe and results of this, my first experience with with Bintje, season explains why. Vigorous, upright growing plants are yielding a very good crop of uniform, medium sized tubers that are excellent in potato salad, as home fries and boiled "new potatoes." If future results prove as promising this variety may replace German Butterball in my garden.
