(FYI of excellent description on Wikipedia, also if searching for more info try "Makah Ozette")\r\nI unsuccessfully tried to find seed potatoes for this variety for four years. I was shopping at the Olympia Farmer\'s Market and one of the vendor\'s was selling mature Ozette\'s for eating. I bought them, saved them until the following spring and forgot to plant them. By the time I remembered, I didn\'t really have any space left for them, they were weak with tall sprouts. I planted all of them in one 20 gallon pot (I don\'t remember how many, but at the time, was just hoping a couple would survive and produce). Wow! Was I ever surprised. The pot was thick with potato plant and at harvest time, was loaded with healthy potatoes! \r\nI love the taste of these. They have a smooth, moist flesh. My potatoes ranged in size, from more than 6 inches long, by about an inch in diameter, to much smaller. Most were more than 4 inches long. They are great roasted, but I also have just cooked some in the microwave and eaten them that way. I had no pest, or disease problems. I have grown a number of varieties of potatoes over the years, and so far, have 2 big favorites, one Magic Molly\'s and these. Due to the difficulty in finding seed potatoes, I did save some for planting next year. I highly recommend these!
