| I live in a high altitude brutal climate for tomatoes. glaciers are my main variety. they are producing often before other varieties are even blooming. first fruits are small and have little flavor, later in the season fruita get larger and quite tasty for a short season tomato. reliable in any kind of bad weather. another plus, the need no staking. very heavy producers if the weather cooperates at all. if you cannot grow any other tomato, I bet you can grow glaciers. |

| This variety has great cold tolerance and poor heat tolerance. It is very difficult to grow in Tucson, AZ in either the summer or the winter. It does not produce much faster than any other short season variety. |

| These were the first for me too, about June 20th in the hoophouse in my zone 5 environment. I love the taste, and was complimented on it often. The tomatoes are only 2-3 inches, but there's lots of them, right through October in the protected environment. |

| I grow Glacier as my first tomato of the season. It tolerates cold, so I can put out one plant in late April with lots of protection (Remay and a cold frame) and have garden tomatoes in June (June 3rd was the earliest). The plants will get early blight later on and the yield isn't the greatest, but its always the first for me. |
