Won\'t garden without it. Sungold may be slightly better tasting for picking and eating in the garden. But this one cracks less and taste is so close.

I am a heirloom bigot, but that being said this is one of the hybrids I do grow. It is a nice tomato, if you like them sweet. Everyone seems to like theses. they are very early producer, good croppers and if you like sugar candies these will delight you. I really don\\\\\\\'t consider these things tomatoes as they have little of that classic tomato taste to me, so I don\\\\\\\'t use them like tomatoes as much as just as a snack to eat out of hand or as a mixture in a salad balanced with real tomatoes. \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nThis one has joined my permanent variety list and I plant a few ever year and my woman gleefully eats all she can. As for me, I may eat a handful over the season. I sut prefer either the sweet citrus taste of Amana Orange(another one I love but don\\\\\\\'t consider a real tomato) , the balance of sugar to acid in a Brandywine or that classic tomato test in a Red Ponderosa.\r\n++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++\r\nUpdate for 2018\r\n---------------------\r\nThis one has joined my permanent line-up due to the fact it is very early, prolific, has some disease resistance, keeps producing and is sweet as heck. If you are sugar junkie, this one is for you. That being said I have trouble detecting any tomato taste, this is more like sugar. The skin can also be a bit chewy, but man it makes a great snack.

The sweetest and best tasting pop-in-the-mouth tomato I have ever grown in over 20 years. It has a more tender skin and is more crack resistant than Sun Sweet. My main complaint is that it yields half as many fruit as other cherry tomatoes, at least where I live.

In two consecutive years of blind tasting by Master Gardener volunteers in Westchester County, SunSugar, a small, orange, cherry-type, tomato ranked highest compared to other cherry-type tomatoes and compared with all tomatoes regardless of category. The flavor profile features an excellent balance between sugar and acid. However, such a balance is not everyone\'s choice for a top-ranking tomato. This is not a bland tomato, nor is it candy sweet. It has ranked higher that its closest rival, Sun Gold

I grew these tomatoes for the first time in 2010, a bad year for tomatoes in Seattle. However, I was thrilled with how well this variety did. The plants were very prolific, although I found they tended to grow out rather than up and definitely need support. The fruit were fantastic, but I did have some issues with cracking at the tail end of the season when the fall rains started. I will definitely grow this variety again.

Through a horribly cold summer SunSugar kept producing cluster after cluster of sweet orange cherry tomatoes. Most never made it to the table as I popped them in my mouth right off the vine.. I planted 6 different varieties of cherry tomatoes and SunSugar ripened earlier, produced more, tasted as good as any, and produced past our first frost. Purchased from selectedplants.com

I rarely grow hybrids, but when I first started growing in containers instead of the ground, I wanted to try just one or two plants and it wasn't worth starting seeds. So I picked out two plants from the store. This one and....I don't remember. I don't remember because this one was the star. Prolific as all get out, with pretty darn good taste for a cherry, this is a very good tomato. My neighbor watched my plants for a week while I was on vacation; she commented on them every time I saw her for the next year or two.

Great Sungold-type flavor, very productive and easy to grow. Will need staking as it is very vigorous even in our Zone 4 climate.

Wow. First one out of the gate, and when first frost hit in October, this one was still loaded! They don't crack as much as other cherries either. Need good strong trellis though, vines were at least 12 feet and heavy with fruit. Eat when truly dark gold.

Does this tomato need yet another review? This was the best-tasting tomato we grew in 2007. It spites me to say it, since it isn't open-pollinated. Mild and VERY sweet (but there is variety among individuals), slightly fruity. Some cracking, but fairly minimal. Very prolific.

My favorite cherry tomato, followed close by sungold - a bit sweeter and less prone to cracking, with incredible vines producing all the way through the season. Great tomato flavor, unlike some red cherries, with just sweet flavor.

Have grown this variety over a number of seasons. It is sweet and delicious. Very productive, large plants have a long season. A favorite.

While nothing compares to the slicers of summer, I had to rate this cherry a 5. If you like a sweet tomato, this is like candy. Pretty orange/yellow fruits. People at work just RAVED about them and I gave away many. I will always grow this one, it is my favorite cherry. Makes for a great snack right out in the garden while you are working.

This is the best cherry/grape in my garden for the past six years. Many people who swore they wouldn't want anything but a red tomato have become converts to this variety, and won't settle for anything else!

This is the sweetest cherry-type that I have tried and the most resistant to cracking. It never stops producing by the hundreds.

SunSugar beat Sun Gold in a taste test by Master Gardeners in Westchester County. The fruits tend not to crack and the tall plants are exrtaordinarily productive.

Tastes as good as Sungold and also yields as well -- Sunsugar is much more crack-resistant than Sungold. I will be growing Sunsugar instead of Sungold from now on as I had a lot of cracking problems with Sungold. Great flavor!!! Adjusts well to growing in large containers.
