Grew these this year for the first time. Seeds from Rutgers University. Plants grew well despite dry then very wet weather here in the northeast. Plants have reached over 6 feet high when staked and pruned to a single stem. Good producer or medium sized fruit, some 4 inches in diameter. Nearly all of them have cracking at the shoulders which renders a fair portion of each tomato unusable. Flavor is very good - old time taste - but a notch below Ramapo, another old Jersey tomato. Overall, though, a decent tomato if you\'re looking for the old time tomato flavor.\r\nUPDATE 9/10/19 .... These produced well again this year but were very prone to cracking around the stem end and shoulders. Probably will stick with Ramapo in the future.
