Planted Gold Mine again this year in a new garden with fairly heavy soil. They were fantastic. Very heavy yield that keeps producing if you keep it picked. Great taste. Keeps well in fridge. Freezes well.

Excellent yellow wax bean. Very productive with excellent taste. I didn't think they froze very well. They tend to be fairly watery after freezing. For fresh table use they can't be beat. I see no difference between Burpee Gold Mine and Goldrush beans. I believe they are the same bean seed marketed under one name in their catalog (Gold Mine) and the other name (Goldrush) in retail outlets.

This is my favorite bean. It's reliable, productive, and the beans freeze remarkably well. They retain their color, texture, and flavor even after being in the freezer a year. They did well for me in some of the less-sunny patches in my garden, too.
