| I grew a selection of these called Kahl. They were an easy, productive bean for me. Like most bush beans my biggest problem with them is keeping them clear of the grass etc, so the pods do not get wet and rot. Otherwise, very straightforward to grow. They are a nice mild bean that quickly fall apart and so are best used as soup - any pea soup recipe would be good with these, although milder in flavour. |

| Boy are these tasty! Cook down into a lovely chowder that gets complements every time I serve it. I just can't seem to grow enough of them! I wish they were a little more productive. |

| Of the ten bush dry beans I tried in 2003, these were one of the best soup beans, with a pleasant mild flavor and rich thick broth. I would definitely grow them again. Half-runner habit. Yielded fairly well, with an extended ripening period rather than all at once. |
