Lots of fun to grow. Taste (when eaten raw) is the nicest bean I\\\'ve tasted. Cooked is lovely too. So pretty in a basket with yellow and green beans.

I liked the taste of these better than both the Genuine Cornfield and Black Valentine that I grew this year. They were always tender and stringless and beautiful on top of that! However, the yield was reduced in this year's drought. Black Valentine definitely out performed Purple Queen.

The best of the purple pod bush beans for this climate. Tasty, prolific and dependable. Pods are uniform and eye catching.

The purple beans are a fun addition to a basket of fresh vegetables. They do turn green when cooked and have a nice beany taste without being stringy. I planted a late August crop and am picking them now in October!
