My best bean in 2005: early enough to beat the bean beetles, and very productive. 2006 was another story: very poor crop, though it still surpassed my other bean varieties. Excellent bean for canning (straight pods ... easy to clean [maybe they have less fuzz than other beans?]). Seed is brown, which is supposed to resist rotting in cold Spring soil. Seed seems to be available only at Stokes.
