Wow did these plants grow for me the sprouts were very small and tight. The plants were huge -4ft plus staking necessary. I may have grown incorectly? two years trying.

The Falstaff Brussel Sprout plant did wonderfully here in the Tucson, AZ area (Planted in late August). The sprout itself tastes a little bit like the "Red Cabbage" of the Brussel Sprouts. The main thing for this area is that it produced well without attracting bugs. I had absolutely no problems with aphids or grubs chowing down on this- a common problem I have encountered with all of the Broccoli varieties I have tried so far. It has grown very well given the minimal amount of sun, several freezes, and light snow this winter.

I was not very happy with this one. The plant grew well but did not produce many good sized sprouts. Very little yield for the size of the plant and not worth taking up the space in my garden. I grew it in 2007 and 2008. Will not try it again. Flavor was OK but there was very little to try.

The plants were beautiful but rangy. Very long season and still mine did not get very large sprouts. The flavor was really sweet as compared to the 'Bubbles' that I served them with. I grew them by the square foot method in a raised bed but will probably put them in the ground this year. They took up too much of my precious raised bed space.

Compared to the Long Island Improved that I grew in close proximity, these lacked primarily the flavor that one expects. I had high hopes for this variety because of its unusual color, but it was unpalatable sitting on my plate. The yeild was low; the sprout size very small. I would not grow these again.

Very beautiful, lean rangy look. wide variety in size of brussels, some large, some small, good flavor, smaller overall than hybrid green Oliver grown adjacent to it.
