This an extra early yellow corn. Very small but it is very early and productive. Taste is probably good to the hogs, but inferior to field corn on my taste buds.

I have grown corn for years but can't get a decent ear from Polar Vee and. I have tried everything from 10-10-10 in row at sowing followed by 33-0-0 to Blood Meal at sowing followed by foliar feeds of fish emulsion. Instructions say it needs heavy doses of nitrogen right out of the gate but I can't seem to get it to it fast enough. This is especially true in years of drought when I guess we have not had enough moisture to activate the fertilizer.
