Planted a small plot of Ferry Morse Peaches and Cream and it was disappointing. It grew well and produced well, but the corn was not very flavorful and it was tough and starchy at all stages. Will not plant again.

The ears were large and well-filled, but the taste was a little disappointing. Good yield with hardly any problems. Spring Treat was chosen over this variety in taste tests; but, it definitely won the appearance & problem categories. I'm not going to grow it next year.

Each year I plant several varieties of corn, both tried-and-true favorites and new types that sound interesting. And each year Peaches and Cream is the one that never disappoints! The plants grow quickly and the yield is bountiful and reliable every time - even though I have to fight the racoons for my share of the harvest. When planting season comes late due to chilly weather (like this year), I start my PnC indoors. This way the seeds get off to a strong start in their Jiffy pellets on top of my warm dryer (100% germination) and grow VERY quickly once the seedlings are planted in the garden.

Ther are two cultivars under this name. An early and a midseason. The midseason cultivar is a good performer, with very good flavor. When it came on the market it was the best bi-color. In the past 10 years I have tried several that I like better, but it is still a good cultivar.
