If you keep pots of chives, parsley or other herbs in a kitchen or other sunny window you should grow this or zwolsche krul. Great in cooking if you want celery flavor in your cooking. Will not provide enough or large enough stalks for other uses. A bit difficult to seed. I start them in the same starter boxes that I use for tomatoes and carefully transplant them to a four inch pot. Afina is tough to kill so if you forget to water it it can hang on. This variety of cutting celery doesn't seem to me as being as difficult to kill as Zwolsche krul but it is still tough.
