Excellent for fresh eating and retains flavor when frozen. This is a standard planting variety in our garden over the last several years. |

This is the 1st time growing Bodacious. our corn patch had 6 rows and was about 8x16. I picked about 6 bushels. Almost every stalk had one cob on it. not alot of worms. The husk is very tight at the tip. This helps with the bugs. I thought it would be sweeter than it was. but this is only my second time trying to grow corn. |

Did not germinate well for me in 2009. What few did grow produced nice large ears. In 2010 first planting did not germinate. Second planting made 3 weeks after last frost germinated fine. |

I haven't had very good luck growing corn but we had a bumper crop of this last variety last year so it's all I'm growing this year - it was sweet and delicious and held well enough in the field, and froze okay (a little watery) |

This is my favorite short growing season corn. I used to depend on Silver Queen until moving here. At about 78 days, it comes in just before frost here in the north country. It is an excellent flavored corn that tends to hold its flavor and texture longer than many others I have tried. We cut most of it from the cobs and freeze it. We find that it retains its flavor and texture very well. Unlike some varieties that get mushy after being frozen. |
