I grew a small plot of this variety last summer--it produced reasonably well for an heirloom, with about 1.5-2 ears per stalk. The cobs were pretty well-filled out, though I pollinated it myself. The flavor compared very well with store-bought sweet corn.

Before the hybrids, this was the sweet corn of choice for corn on the cob. It is still the best open pollinated corn, but time has passed it by.
