First year growing this variety. Did quite well with our hot summe and liked the flavor better than any other yellow. Only draw back for me wat that the husk did not cover the ends of the ears. this made it more susceptable to corn ear worm, which is my major pest with sweet corn. Also had some other insect and bird damage due to this. Other than that it is a good variety for the home gardener.

I have grown Kandy Korn for several years and liked it so well that it is the only sweet corn I grow.

I have grown Kandy Korn in years past and it is GREAT corn - easy, tender, and sweet. However, in 2006 we planted it too close to some Silver Queen and Sugar Dots (to extend the season) and it cross-pollinated like crazy and was almost inedible - tough and starchy. Thankfully, we do have a learning curve, so next year we'll grow only one variety and succession plant to extend the season. This corn has the best germination of any I've grown. We planted May 7 in southern PA. It seemed every seed sprouted. I had to thin quite a bit. Another lesson learned. We did have Japanese Beetles very bad the last two seasons. See my review of "Silver Queen" for discussion.

One of the better yellow hybrids. Performs reasonably well here.
