Very disappointing. Out of 4 plants, I had maybe about 4 green peppers - and they tended to be a little misshapened and smaller than advertised. My tomatoes and hot peppers in the same bed both did very well.
did not have a typical season coolish and later to start (2014) - so I might give another try at some point - but I'd certainly make room for something else before doing so.
Giving 3 star on taste as the few green peppers I got were fine in a stir fry. no idea on the red taste. |

Grew well for me without any noticeable pests or disease. I'm not likely to plant it again because I would prefer more (smaller) fruits. Varieties with smaller fruits ripen sooner for me. Because the fruits were so huge, many on them settled onto the ground and rotted before harvest. |

A very productive extra large elongated bell that does well here. The plant needs support as the fruits are heavy enough to break limbs off the plant. For an extra large pepper, it does better for me than Super Heaviweight. It takes a healthy appetite to eat a whole one of these stuffed. |

I found this variety to be very hardy, and a generous producer of very attractive peppers. However I was somewhat dissappointed with their taste. It was not that they were unpleasant, but there was little of the characteristic tang than one would expect from a sweet pepper. They certainly did nothing to liven up our salads. |

Some plants yielded 3 or 4 peppers. Some plants were barren. Peppers were meaty with vefy good flavor. |
