| Year after year, this has been my best producing pepper in Northern Indiana. For me, it has produced twice as many peppers as any other variety. The peppers are consistently hot, and have been very good for drying for wintertime. I have dried the whole pepper, and it crushes up nicely to go on soups or pizza or whatever needs a kick. LOVE. |

| Good producer of hot peppers. A fair bit hotter than the jalapeno peppers I grow for salsa. I used mine in making my own hot sauce to can. |

| large plant that bears heavily - 6-8" peppers that turn fire red when ripe. Must start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before frost free date - soil temperature must be ~90 degrees to sprout. Great taste, drys well and makes beautiful ristras that last until the next season. I have planted these for two years and plan to make it a permanent member of my garden |

| Hot chiles are not always easy to grow well in Ontario; our seasons are a bit short and we don't always get the heat during the summer that they need. However, whatever other more exotic chiles I try to grow with variable results, I know I will always be able to grow some long red cayennes. Easy, hardy, productive and reliable. And very hot. |

| A old Southern staple, easy to grow, prolific producer and great flavor. A plate of peas and cornbread is just not the same without a pod of this pepper on the side. It makes a beautiful and tastey pepper sauce also. |

| A fantastic historic variety; every southern gardener should grow it. Needs zero attention (although you may want to stake it late in the season), completely disease free and productive beyond belief. No animal would dream of bothering it. Serious, pure heat; great for cooking, makes a tasty pepper jelly and hot sauce. My favorite pepper of 2007. |

| Beautiful plant - approximately 28" tall with a 15" spread. The plant is loaded with both long, straight peppers, and some curving peppers. Peppers mature from green, to dark green to a beautiful red. |
