I tried growing this pepper because I often buy them in the store. I planted it about two feet from a cayenne pepper. The next day something(probably a young rabbit) had eaten most of the plant. The cayenne pepper was never touched. Since then the plant has tried to recover, but whenever it gets anywhere it gets eaten back. Why this particular variety of pepper would taste so much better to the rabbits than my cayenne pepper is a mystery, but it really does appear to be the case. It seems overall to be a fairly tough pepper so I see every reason to think a more experienced gardener would have no trouble with it.
