This is a very productive plant. The favorite squash of my family. I let some grow really large on purpose and make bread and butter pickles out of them. I'm also a big fan of the flowers. I dredge whole squash flowers in pancake or cornbread batter, and then cook them like little bell shaped pancakes.

One of the best dark green open pollinated zucchini. Vigorous vine , good yields, excellent appearance. Does well here.

I cannot try other varieties because this is so easy to grow. I grow two plants in a large self-watering container. Harvested 16 last year, roughly 20 this year within 1 month period; I pull them out in late July to empty the container for Okura/peppers.

Great tasting summer squash that starts producing early, and keeps producing until frost, so long as the vines are kept picked. I've never noticed a pest or disease problem on this variety.

Easy to grow in good years and bad. Forgiving to the beginning gardener. Good taste with strong flowers (which are good for culinary uses). With balanced, fertile soil, there is little need for mid-season fertilizing or side crop dressing. In northern New England zones, this is a solid provider.

I've grown this variety for a few years now, and never have a loss of tasty zucchini of all sizes. Produces for a long time!

This zucchini produced huge fruits! I would check on it every couple days and in just that time the zucchini's grew to over a pound each! The leaves are nice and big to shield the fruit from the sun. I grew this variety between my corn rows, and that worked wonderfully. In mid summer, they either dried up or were killed by cutworms, but by then I had plenty of zucchini.

This variety tastes better than the standard everyday zucchini. It isn't quite as prolific but we've never had any shortage of fruit.
