I was looking for an ornamental pepper, and this sure is one! The fruit all sit at the top of the plant, and pretty much mature together. The peppers start out yellow and color up red by the end of the season. The pepper is not too hot (my father-in-law would pick them off the plant and eat them raw), but hot enough for me. The plants held up beautifully all summer, especially where the soil was drier. At the end of the season, I picked all of the peppers off and dried them. A few weeks ago, I toasted them lightly in the oven, and ground them up. We will use this as red pepper flakes all winter long.
