This is my family's all-time favorite squash. I has a sweet flavor, and best of all, holds it's shape when you cook, instead of dissolving like so many other squash do when added to sauces. It's great in a ratatouille and is our favorite add-in to spaghetti sauce, whether scratch-made or ready to heat. BUT I CAN'T FIND ANY SEEDS ANY MORE!!! Anyone know of a source for these seeds? email my screen name at yahoo, if you know how I can get some.

Park calls this variety a "high performer", and they aren't kidding. I grew it once, and I couldn't give them all away. Every morning there would be another three football-size light green fruits in the garden. The vines spread through half the garden. When the borers got to the plants and rotted them out in the center, the outer vines kept producing. Unfortunately, I wasn't fond of the flavor -- not mild like zucchini, but more of a distinct squash flavor.

We have been growing Kuta's for many years. In our opinion it has more flavor than other summer squashes. Pretty good yield, but not as prolific as zucchinis. Mary lets our"s grow to maturity, and slices them as one would eggplant and substitutes them for eggplant in making Kuta parmesan. It is one of our favorite meals. Kuta slices breaded and baked are fine also.
