Extremely heat tolerant : never bolted in our searing 110 degree dry summer heat, but stayed crisp and good looking. The taste wasn't memorable unfortunately, but not worse than what's commonly available in grocery stores. If you must eat lettuce in a desert climate, this is probably your best choice!

I've tried many leaf lettuces and this is my favorite. It is not as fragile as other varieties which is good for me because I like to pick off the leaves as it grows instead of waiting for the whole plant to mature. It also keeps very well in storage. Several weeks if properly bagged.

This is my favorite lettuce here in Indiana. It can handle the hot humid weather very well. It does not get that tall but even when it has started to bolt in July the flavor is still very good. This is the only lettuce I normally grow any more.

My Jericho lettuce lasted until late july in partial shade before bolting. Even in the early stages of bolting, the lettuce was crisp and flavorful, although the heads were no larger than a tall glass.

Outstanding heat tolerance. Didn't bolt in early heat waves; only temps consistently above 85 caused it to bolt. Excellent flavor and a nice upright form.
