Incredibly easy spinach substitute to grow for areas where spring-sown spinach tends to bolt. Purple, almost a little fuzzy leaves. Good for adding raw to a mixed salad (though I'd mix it with other greens). Old world green with loads of vitamin C. Usually goes to seed by mid-summer. A low maintenance welcome addition to the home garden.
