I do not have quite so negative a view of these as the last reviewer, and have grown them successfully for several years. They do not seem any more or less susceptible to the ills that affect zucchini than any others we have grown. In other words, it is the end of the summer and they are covered in powdery mildew just like everything else. However, they are indeed not very productive. We have probably gotten about 10 zucchini off our single plant this year so far. I do expect to get a few more. (We planted 2, but the growing tip broke off the other one, and it did not recover.) Somehow seeing just how little we can expect in the way of golden zucchini off of one plant has decided us to go look for another variety of yellow summer squash. ADDED: growing one specimen this year; we are afflicted with cucumber beetles and this and Dark Green are noticeably more attractive to them than any other squash, cuke or melon.

Planted these Golden Zucchini 2 or 3 years in a row alongside Black Beauty and 8-ball, which were both productive. Squash bugs sometimes attacked the plants. This year watched out for bugs, No bugs yet, but still no zucchini. Got big bushy plants, many male flowers. Will try a hybrid next time.
