Mountain Princess is a very early, determinate tomato. The plants are compact, but will need support because they are absolutely loaded with tomatoes. The tomatoes themselves are very nice; a well balanced classic tomato flavour in a very useable mid-size. We have the same problem with them that we have with other short determinate varieties - the septoria spot in our garden does them in. These are so early we got a decent crop anyway, but something to keep in mind. Since this is an eating tomato and not a canning tomato, the determinate qualities of it will make it unsuitable for most private gardeners. Market gardeners, however, will likely find it a good early tomato choice.
