This was the second Sh2 I ever tried. I do not like the taste and texture. It grows reasonably well if isolated although it is does not tolerate heat too well. If one slips up and has any other type of corn within pollinating distance, the result is close to inedible. If one likes an extra sweet corn and is willing to keep it isolated from other types of corn, it will suffice.

Excellent sugary sweet corn with crisp kernels. A bit difficult to germinate -- needs warm soil -- plant extra seeds to compensate. Easily worth the germination problems for the taste. (I had switched to another version for a few years because I could not get the seed locally. I found a frozen 4 year old pack of corn kernels in the freezer. My daughter prepared the corn for her family dinner. Her husband who did not know this commented -- "this corn is great, did you do anything different this time?"... So based on the favorable review of the 4 year old corn, I've ordered this variety and will make it my regular choice once again...) 2005 Notes: Higer germination percentage when night time temperatures are above 50 deg F.
