| this one will definitely be in my garden next year. Not an early but more like mid season. Large and very good flavor. Fresh eating or in sauces it is very,very good. Vines large and healthy and outlasted the blight until mid september. Green fruit ripened reliably on the kitchen counter and we still have a few to eat in the last week of October. Saved lots of seeds from this one for starting in the spring. Best one of the six varieties I grew this year. |

| I grew this out back in the far garden where I can't get a hose to reach and they did well until blight got them in mid-Sept. There was a fair bit of cracking at the end but given their large size, somewhat scallopped or lobed fat shape and only watered by mother nature, they did fine. The taste was fantastic with a great heirloom sweet/acid balance. The birds liked them the best too. I would grow these closer to the house and would not grow them in any disease prone area. |

| German Queen has done very well in my garden this year! Nice healthy vine, with plenty of good size fruit. I'm growing in a large container, so watering daily has been necessary.... |

| I like it better than Brandywine for eating right off the vine. A bunch came in late and too many at once so I made sauce. Since they are so meaty they did not take long to cook down, and they made an interesting, good, and somewhat unique flavored marinara. |
