I grew this one back in Virginia in the 70's and 80's. An excellent large hubbard, quite like the Blue but maybe I just have a preference for the color green. These things get big ( 15 pounds or more) and have a very hard rind. Takes something like a hatchet or axe to open them, but they keep for a very long time. Biggest drawback is their size, unless you are cooking for a crowd, it takes forever to eat one.
