Here in this climate, it's very easy to grow corn. It's said corn wants lots of water, we have rain, makes the soil mud. For polunation, you have to plant min 200 seeds.( one pack is enough) I was a little bit late this year. Because when it was time to plant, there was late frost alarm, it was pretty cold. Also I had to harvest a little bit earlier, even some of them didn't turn to black, due to woodchuck problem. It was eating my corns!!! So, I didin't expect that they would totaly mature on the newspapers and later pop. Their color turned to black and they popped. The taste is very good and fresh. I have maybe 2-3 unpopped. I think it was great. I got the seeds from rareseeds.com. Because they say their corn seeds are tested and they don't have GMO seeds.
