I have tried growing these from seed (started indoors 8 week before planting) but the plants are slow starters and don't seem to grow much until the weather gets really hot in July. Then they explode and get to be 4-5 feet tall. Eventually they fill up with peppers, but I have yet to have most of them ripen before frost. I am going to try again this year, perhaps start even earlier. I did make tobasco sauce with the green peppers, added a few red cherry peppers for color, and it had a wonderful tobasco (hot) taste.

A hot pepper, a little less heat to me than Super Chile, but plants are a little larger and young fruit a little more yellow green rather than medium green of Super Chile. Milder than a Thai or Scotch Bonnet. No disease problems for me and plants seem healthy. Decorative and tasty if you like a hot pepper to add zip.

I prefer th taste of the Long Slim Cayenne as a seasoning pepper, but this one grows and yields well. Very pretty upright growing peppers are more attractive than the pendant cayennes.
