Caselode is an excellent English pea for this area. It is about a week later than Strike, but yields about 1/4 more. Under my conditions, using double rows, they stand up nicely without staking. Vines are taller than Strike or Dakota, but rarely exceed 2 ft under my conditions. Taste is competitive with Green Arrow.

Extremely prolific variety that lives up to its claims about not turning starchy as fast as other garden peas. Plants are quite tall and although they claim not to need support, I would recommend it.
