Another pea that the heat just withered for me. I did get a few with medium flavor and nice blossoms. |

Wonderfully surprised by the beautiful blooms on this heirloom variety. Will definitely grow next year not just because they taste good but for the beauty they add to the garden. High yields early when it was cooler. They actually reseeded themselves and we had new plants growing in the bed in September. |

This pea grew amazingly well...hugh, tall, bushy plants with really pretty pinkish purple flowers. Taste was not the best, but produced well. |

The vines grew close to five feet tall. The purple/pink flowers drew visitors to the vines. The flavor seemed to diminish as the pods matured. |

You must pick this one as soon as it matures or it gets stringy. Flavor was not my favorite. It grew well and yield was good. |

I've been growing these from saved seed for 20 years in a variety of northern BC gardens, including community gardens. Lovely 2-tone purple blossoms. Some susceptibility to fusarium wilt depending on soil history. Usual vine height 3', but up to 4' in good conditions. Heavy producer, but window for good salad/stirfry peas is very small: harvest. when pods are 3" long and rather flat. Will continue to produce well past first fall frosts. When dried on vine for soup these peas need long cooking times but flavour and colour is very appealing. |

I grew these back in fall 2004 and they did well here in the Central Valley of California. They produced pretty purple flowers and a decent crop of peas which I always found myself snacking on. They really thirve on cool and winter days. December-February is their prime time to shine. After that as the days get warmer they are quick to to produce thick, tough pods. Overall it is a great plant and I would definitely grow again in the future. |

This one will grow but it is nothing to write home about. Small pods are good if you meet thier harvest window, but they get tought quickly. |
