Lasted longer in the blight than other varieties, but eventually did die from it. Tomatoes are ok. I prefer other varieties for taste and texture.

My favorite open pollinated main season tomato, in my high desert location. Productive all season, good flavor. The plants are not very 'full', so I plant them on one foot spacing, and put a 2' x 5' cage around two of them, which they fill. Tolerate warm nights reasonably well, although fruit set does decline then. Most tomato diseases aren't a problem here, except for early blight, and Peron didn't seem any more or less susceptible than other tomatoes.

Beautiful round, smooth, red, medium large tomatoes with great flavor, no diseases. My overall favorite tomato ever.

Another easy one, almost a bit heart shaped with very flat taste
