Thought I only liked edible podded peas. These are great. Sweet and uniform. These need no trellis. A very old cultivar. |

A great pea. Easily trellised. Good flavor. Survived June 2010 extreme heat and kept producing! |

Heat tolerant and reliable, have been raising this variety for over 60 years and it will continue to be my first choice. Excellent flavor. |

A reliable producer of fine pods. Short vines trellised easily. Sown for early summer and fall harvest. With rotation, I always use innoculant to enhance nitrogen fixing. |

We have grown this variety for years - in the Adirondacks and in southwestern CT - and almost always with success. In Essex County, spring is slow to come; and the years we haven't had an "even" harvest (i.e., some plants do well, some don't) it's because we planted (from seed) too late. Even if it's cold and wet, get out and plant them! |
