Nice flavour, large size and often unusual shapes. I use it it for fresh eating, canning and juice.

I really like the flavor of this tomato but like the others have stated, it makes only a few fruits per plant. This will be the last year for this tomato as we need more production from the space. Great for the home grower who has the space and isn\'t concerned with the low yield.

While these were among the largest tomatoes I grew last year (several were almost 2 lbs), the overall yield was just fair. They were a free pack, and I will grow another one this year.

I hoped that this variety was going to produced many tomatoes. Unfortunately, the yield was terrible compared my other tomato plants. At best, I got 2 tomatoes out of each plant while my other tomato plants produced an average of 10-12 tomatoes. However, from the tomatoes that were produced, these were the tastiest out of all the plants. These plants also suffered from fungal diseases in late summer while the hybrids did not.

Tasted very good. Large pink. Did not yield much but it was not a good year. Looked and tasted very similar to Aunt Ginny's Purple.

How can anything live up to the hype this got? Best tasting tomato in the world or was that solar system? In my garden it was a large, productive beefsteak indistinguishable from Pruden's Purple. For NY I like the Eastern European varieties and find them hardy but this one didn't excite me at all.

I didn't think the flavor was quite as good as Brandywine, but the flavor was somewhat similar. Production was much higher than Brandywine though. It's a pretty tough, hardy plant. Flavor is very good.

Gary Ibsen introduced Marianna's Peace in his TomatoFest online mail-order company as the best tasting tomato and charged an arm and a leg for the few seeds he made available. I was sceptical but tried Marianna's Peace next to my old time favorite, Brandywine (Sudduth variety) and some other taste champions. When compared to Brandywine Marianna's Peace tasted different but equally good or shall I say "it matched the best of the best". Unlike Brandywine Marianna's Peace does not split and the yield is higher, making it the new superstar in the tomato world. I mention this after growing well over 100 tomato varieties and with over 40 years of gardening experience..
