This is the first time I have planted celery. It was easy to start, and I had no problems transplanting. I had to mound the soil around the bases to blanch, but other than that they were no trouble. I harvested all at once in late September. I don't think I gave them enough water, for many of the stems were brown and tough in the middle. I really didn't like to eat this celery raw, even the nice looking stems. However, I made a wonderful celery soup with them, and that worked out really well.
