At more like 45 days these are very early for us in our cool mountain climate--quite a plus. We plant several rows and use them to interplant as we eat other varieties because of their speed. Quite good tasting--as good as any but the Detroit/Chicago ones.
As another gardener said, few problems with pests or diseases. |

I love this variety. I really like the fact that a portion of the beet is above ground so there is no doubt when to harvest. It was sweet and tender. (so very different than the store bought beets) 'Might have been luck but I had no problems with snails, slugs, pillbugs or earwigs. The roots stayed perfect. Some "minor" leaf miner damage but that is so common here on the Central Coast of California. |

A very good old timer. Not quite as sweet as Early Blood Turnip, but a productive cultivar. |
