This cultivar was popular among the older generation of both Virginia and Georgia for making the long yellow 7 day pickles. It is a big pretty dark green cucumber. A black spine type usually seen only in the smaller pickling cucumbers. It is not difficult to grow, but yields are poor to moderate.
