This is indeed a striking colored white fleshed melon. It produced about three fruit per vine. However, I did not enjoy the flavor of this melon. It was sweet, but had the texture and color of a pear. But it seemed so watered down in flavor compared to my muskmelons or rock melons. I was very disappointed. However, it did make a very good melon sorbet.

This melon looks distinctive when it ripens fully, but it either never developed good flavor here, or we never caught it on the right day of maturity. It doesn't slip when ripe like most netted muskmelons, so it may take experience to pick it at the perfect moment. Texture was not good, either, sort of cottony. This melon should not be confused with the very different 'Ananas d'Amerique a Chair Verte' (Green-Fleshed Pineapple), which comes from a different breeding line.
