| My seed source was Sweden (the nation) and Shumways.
This was the best tasting tomatoe I produced this year and it far out surpassed Big Boy, the complexity of Krim and one of my favorites in Backfield.
Production was not incredible, but the fruits I did have were the best I have tasted for pure tomatoe, acid, sweet and a robust flavor.
Fruits are nice sized, meaty and for people with intestinal problems with seeds, one can just cut the end off and eat them without having to pick seeds out.
The plants are tough without any care. With care in not over watering like any fruit and ripened in hot summer weather, one would have large, very good tasting fruit.
Tomatoes need heat to have a rich taste.
For my eating tomatoe this one is the one I will be growing as my main crop in the plains states.

| I found this to be one of the worst tasting heirlooms I've grown. In a season when my other tomatoes tasted fantastic, this one was rather bland and boring. While it looks nice, it is far from one of my favorites. |

| A great tasting, meaty tomato that is great for slicing. I had pretty low yields the season I grew it but it was an extremely hot and dry summer. |

| GRS has done very well in my garden the last 2 years.Deep red strawberry-shaped fruit,about a pound each on a 5 foot RL plant that is pretty compact for it's height.
Very good taste for slicing,and would work for canning as well,I would think. |
