One of the few dark red lettuces that stays edible into warm weather. For some reason, this variety seems a bit obscure. However, I recommend it as the best tasting dark red lettuce I have found so far. In other words, not quite as good as the best of the greens, but perfectly fine and an excellent colour variation in your salad. Has grown as well as most lettuces for us.
