Though I haven't had great luck growing melons in our often humid, inconsistant climate...sometimes they produced, other times nothing. The Yellow Baby watermelons that did mature were all very good tasting. They seem to require richer soil, full sun, and try not to get the leaves wet. They did take longer to mature than expected. This year mine were shaded by tomato plants and sunflowers, and managed to harvest 2 great melons out of 4 plants.
