Not very good fresh from the garden, but they do produce large roots in under 60 days when sown in August-September. They were very sharp and best roasted. Storage in a cool cellar for a month or so made them much tastier, But they are still not good for raw eating. They were mellow but still rather woody until roasted. Yields were huge, they sprouted quickly and produced a ton of roots for storage.
