This cushaw is second rate compared to the Green Striped Cushaw. It grows reasonably well and the white fruits are attractive. It is slightly smaller than the Green Striped. Flavor is similar. Cushaws have long been popular as pie pumpkins in the south, because they will withstand attacks by the squash vine borer and will also tolerate more heat than C. maxima or C. pepo types.
