I include several porter tomatoes, original and improved to ensure production; you can depend on these tasty toms, just the right size for single serving. Tolerates hot TX conditions, good variety to bridge the gap between large fuited and cherry types. OP so one can save seed to keep this favorite going! |

This was my father's favorite! I bought my original plants in Texas and Oklahoma, then grew from saved seed for about 9 years. More deep pink than red, fruit are not large, but yield is vigourous. These can stand heat and I never had disease problems, even when grown on ground with prior tomotoes and peppers. The only bad thing, the rabbits seemed to prefer this variety, would eat them before any others. This has a really good old tomatoe flavor. The fruit quality was uniform and excellent. |
