We've tried a number of celery varieties, including Tall Utah and Golden Self-Blanching. They all grew well in Southern California, but we were not satisfied with their flavor or texture, too strong and too stringy. Then we tried Tango. It is the only variety that we'll grow again. It is particularly good in soups and stews, but can also be eaten raw. |
