Onion looked really good - nice shape and color. However, top of onion when picked was mushy and a small top had to be cut off. JF

First time for this variety. Easily grown from seed. High yielding plants produce uniform and solid onions with good keeping quality. The flesh is juicy, and the flavor is moderately strong. Our Monroe County 2010 crop was a generous bounty indeed.

I have grown Ebenezers from sets since the 1970's. Lately (last 10 years), I've had more and more disease problems. Mostly pink root, but other things that happen during storage. Too bad, but I won't use them any more.
