Ancient cultivar that was listed in Burpee\'s 1888 catalog and it was not a new variety then. It was my Grandmother\'s favorite in the early 1900\'s. It is pretty good for an old variety. Not as pretty or as uniform in color as newer cultivars like Straight 8, Poinsett, or Ashley but grows about as well and is just as tasty.
