Back in the 40's and fifties, we use to grow all four colors of Burgess Colossal. They all appear to be similar to (probably improved selections of) the older Henderson's Ponderosas. The improved red is a little larger and smoother and competes with another Red Ponderosa selection, the Delicious. I f you like Red Ponderosa aka Beefsteak tomatoes this is a good one.
